full professor of Legal Philosophy at the University of Palermo since 1986 and also
appointed to the courses of General Theory of Law, Human Rights and Legal
Ethics. He is co-editor of a Series on Legal Philosophy of Giappichelli
Publishing in Turin, co-director of "Ragion pratica", a journal on
practical philosophy and co-director of "Ars Interpretandi. Annuario di
ermeneutica giuridica", a journal on legal hermeneutics. Since 2001 he
has been director of the Section “Law and Politics” of the new edition of the
Encyclopedia of Philosophy (Bompiani). From 2007 to 2009 he has been director
of the PhD Programs of the Faculty of Law on “Supranational and Domestic
Law”. At the moment he is director of the Department of Studies on Politics,
Law and Society. He is also President of the Italian Association for Legal
Philosophy and Editor-in-Chief of “Rivista di Filosofia del diritto” (Journal
of Legal Philosophy). |
