Also for the year 2002 three prizes (worth 600 euros each), offered by the Award Organizing Committee supported by popular subscriptions, will be given in memory of Prof. Alessandro Cestelli.

The prize is addressed to all those school children that have shown a particular interest and determination in school activities and/or in other educational activities and who, as well, show to be willing to continue studying.

This year the award is addressed to the Schools that are located in the Brancaccio district.

The school children to be awarded will be choosen among those mentioned by the schools. Nominations must be submitted to the Secretary of the Committee (Prof. Italia Di Liegro, Dipartimento di Biologia Cellulare e dello Sviluppo, Viale delle Scienze, Parco D'Orleans, 90128 Palermo. Mentions (not more than five per school) must be listed in order of priority together with a profile of the pupil explaining the reasons for the choice.

The prizes will be handed out on May 17, 2002.
