The prize is dedicated to the memory of Professor Alessandro Cestelli, a scientist and qualified university teacher, but also and above all a citizen involved in social work, capable to direct his own human energy in important projects for the community.

The prize is addressed to all those school children that have shown a particular interest and determination in school activities and/or in other educational activities and who, as well, show to be willing to continue studying.

The prize will be awarded every year according to the mentions submitted to the Committee from the various schools, within the terms to be fixed from year to year.

To make a more uniform distribution of prizes among the various districts of the town, the Committee will propose every year a different area of the town from where, according to the above mentioned conditions, the children to be awarded will be picked out.

The prize-giving cerimony will take place on May 17.
