Maurizio
Melluso was born in Palermo, Italy. He received Laurea cum
laude in Electronic Engineering (automatic controls) from
University of Palermo in 2003 and from the same University he holds a
Ph-D (doctoral degree) in Automation and Systems Engineering in 2007. From July 2005 he is "cultore della
materia" in ING/INF-04.
Actually he is working as assistant researcher. He is Adjunct Professor of "Instruments and measures for industrial automation (Strumentazione e misure per
l'Automazione)". From 2010 he is Vice-President of Seacosys (Sea Control System Research Association). His research interests include: motion control of Electric Vehicles, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and Underwater Robotic Vehicles (URVs);
Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS); multi-sensory data fusion; soft computing; renewable energy systems (solar fields).
