Mass spectrometry (MS) is an analytical spectroscopic technique which provides information on the chemical structure of organic molecules. This method reveals their structural identification through high resolution of exact mass measurements and provides qualitative and/or quantitative analyses.

ØStructural identification of natural and synthetic organic compounds, organometallic compounds, studies of fragmentation mechanisms;
ØApplication in the pharmaceutical field, drug metabolism, drugs and psychotropic substances, food supplements and nutraceuticals;
ØApplication in the food sector: lipids, proteins, carbohydrates and polysaccharides, vitamins and functional food;
ØCharacterization of plant and phytocomplex compounds (antioxidants, flavones and flavonoids);
ØApplication in the environmental field (pesticides, PAH, etc.);
ØAnalysis of extractable or releasable residues from materials; studies of polymers and biopolymers.
