Abstract
The growing use of ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) within educational contexts requires an increasingly broad and advanced set of skills and didactic innovation through digital technologies. This necessarily involves teacher training, but also future teachers who are called to reformulate traditional teaching-learning methods that ICT offers for a better pedagogical accessibility and inclusion. In this context, it is important to reflect on how to effectively integrate digital tools and resources into teaching-learning practices so as to be able to contribute to the implementation of teaching according to the needs and characteristics of pupils. The research presents an exploratory survey carried out during a training course on the functionality of some Apple applications. In particular, the knowledge on the functionalities that Apple devices offer to promote participatory and interactive learning methods were investigated. The survey involved 2725 trainees enrolled at the University of Palermo, out of which 1167 attending the degree course LM-85 bis, 132 attending the degree course LM-85 and 1426 attending the Special Needs Education course. By analysing the perception of the participants on the basic applications of Apple devices, we expect to be able to reflect on the training opportunities for future teachers and on the inclusive and effective use of digital resources.
