Abstract

This study analyses the effect of the Mentor Project on the perceived quality of teaching, using data collected from evaluation questionnaires completed by students (2017-2021) via the AVA system. The results, processed with multilevel models, show high average scores for three-year and master's courses, with an average increase of 0.18 points in 2021 compared to 2017. Participation in the project is associated with an improvement in perceived quality, with an increase of 0.22 points in three-year courses. The effect is less significant for master's degree courses (0.10). Whereas, the number of students negatively influences the scores. Although other factors may influence perceived quality, the results suggest that the Mentor Project contributes positively to the improvement of teaching, with implications for university policies.
