History of the Foundation of Geometry: The history of non-desarguesian and non-archimedean geometries and of the algebras related to them (octonions, bicomplex etc.).

Study of Archives: Research on Circolo Matematico of Palermo, in particular the analysis of relationship between G.B. Guccia, H. Poincare and G. Mittag Leffler. The publication of letters and other archival material with special reference to L. Cremona, G. B. Guccia, P. Tardy and Neapolitan mathematicians.

The birth of the Italian School of Mathematics: Publication of Electronic Archives and correspondence; analytical study of mathematical content. Project funded by the University, ex 60%.

Collaborations

There are many collaborations with other national and international research groups. In particular, for what concerns the archival material there are collaborations with the University of Milan and Turin, "Federico II" of Naples and the University of Basilicata. For other research, there are collaborations with the University of Lille and Nancy
