The Orientation and Tutoring Center of the University of Palermo provides primary reference services for all those who are interested in enrolling in university courses, especially for international students. They provide information and assistance regarding enrollment procedures, immigration regulations, and all administrative and bureaucratic procedures pertaining to international citizens.

The Engineering Department of the University of Palermo organizes specific conferences each year to present the educational offer to students of high schools in Palermo and, upon request, in the cities of Trapani, Ragusa, Caltanissetta, and Agrigento and their respective districts.

The conferences illustrate the specifics of the course of study in Energy and Renewable Energy Engineering, the basic skills needed for access, job opportunities, and further studies, as well as the modalities of the entrance test to the Engineering Degree Programmes.

The activities are conducted and coordinated by the Delegate to the Orientation of the Coordinator of the Course of Studies

Degree Course is also directly present on social media with a Facebook page, a X page (former Twitter) and
an Instagram profile.

Ongoing orientation and tutoring

The Coordinator of the CCS is assisted by the Orientation Delegate, Tutor Teachers, and the Quality Assurance Management Commission of the Degree Course, who serve as primary points of reference for any clarification or resolution of doubts for the student during their education path.

For example, from the selection of curricular orientation to the decision relating to the courses chosen by the student, from the recognition of training credits for professional activities to the transition from other degree courses, etc.

The tutor teachers are also responsible for following up with the students regarding aspects such as customer satisfaction, internships(together with the Internship Delegate), periods abroad (together with the Internationalization Delegate), and the conduct of the final exam, especially when it is carried out by external companies. Within the Degree Course, a specific commission has been established

The Department of Engineering selects each year tutors who can support particularly first-year students, helping them in the delicate task of acclimating to the university path with its language, rhythm, and methods. This favors the transition to the years following the first.

The tutor contact information is available on the Degree Course website, on the Organization chart page.

Discipline specific Tutors

A total of 13 teaching tutors are currently operational for Engineering.

The tutors will be required to engage in 200 hours of didactic-integrative, preparatory, and recovery activities within the disciplinary domains for which they have been selected.

Tutors are responsible for supporting students with particular difficulties in order to help them overcome the educational path and exams with greater ease.

It is a teaching support tool provided by the University through the Department of Engineering to all students of our degree program who explicitly request it.

Here are the Teaching Tutors, divided into disciplinary areas and related email contacts.
