Abstract

As both environmental scientists and various urban planners have been arguing for many years now (Crutzen and Stoermer 2000; Newman 2012; IPCC 2022; Ratti 2025), the theme of ecological transition is the new paradigmatic element of the progress of our species and substantially permeates the different urban and territorial policies to the various dimensions of the city and the territory, penetrating more and more into the different models of planning also at various scales, types and levels (Ratti 2025).
