Schizogonie. Sessualità e riproduzione in Simondon e Rabaud

Abstract

This paper analyzes Gilbert Simondon’s conception of sexuality as a dynamic of individuation and transindividuation in the light of his indebtedness to the biological theories of Étienne Rabaud. In particular, Simondon’s perspective links technicality and sexuality in an original relationship that cannot be reduced to the developments these concepts would have in posthumanist, transhumanist, or cyborg thought. This perspective thus constitutes an important point of reference for approaches that do not presuppose a given concept of nature or an idea of culture as a space of absolute constructibility.
