Abstract

The study of the urban conformation reached between 15 th and 16 th centuries by Ragusa can count on visual testimonies of a devotional nature. As part of a wider artistic production, the paper intends to focus on the analysis of a selection of art works dating between 15 th and 16 th centuries. By doing a comparative analysis of these representations of the city they propose, the paper intends to focus on the messages conveyed through them, linking the image of the city to that of its patron saint
