haemochromatosis's study; study on immunological mechanisms of senescencecase control studies having the key aim to analyze the role of candidate immune­inflammatory genes in longevity and age related diseases; studies having the aim of identifying cellular, molecular and  genetic mechanisms involved in the pathophysiology of thoracic aorta aneurysm, mitral valve diseases, bicuspid valve diseases; study on stem and progenitor cells, such as EPCs, in cardiovascular diseases
