Abstract

According to two guidelines that at times inevitably intersect - the ontological gratuitousness at the origin of the adventure of living, and the axiological gratuitousness found in the constant call of beauty and the true and the good - the speculative paths of a philosophy of gratuitousness are followed . Precisely the intersection of these two lines represents the argumentative background that refuses to reduce gratuitousness to an ornamental or purely illusory dimension in the context of today's globalized society dominated by the logic of the market.
