Disability services offered by the SAAF Department are governed by the regulations of the Operating Unit for Diverse Abilities (O.U.D.A.) (previously the University Center for Disabilities) which is the University structure that coordinates, monitors and supports all activities in favor of the inclusion of students with disabilities.

The SAAF Department in collaboration with the COT (Center for Orientation and Tutoring) makes available to students, Tutors of Teaching and Peer Tutors, a specialized tutoring service useful to promote the inclusion of all students with disabilities, Specific Learning Disorders and other neurodiversities (certified and non-certified).

Among the functions of the SLD Learning Tutor are:

  • support to the Teaching and Peer Tutors who follow students with disabilities, SLDs and other neurodiversities (including those without certification);
  • support in study methodology and the identification of specific learning strategies that take into consideration the peculiarities of students with disabilities, SLDs and other     neurodiversities;
  • coordination activities between students, teaching tutors, peer tutors and teachers aimed at enhancing the individual paths of students with disabilities, SLDs and other neurodiversities.
