The SIASP provides a range of free psychological support options, tailored to each student’s specific needs. These may include individual sessions of psychological support, short-term counselling, guidance in managing emotional or relational challenges, and group sessions focusing on specific topics such as anxiety management, exam-related stress, and emotional wellbeing.

Support can be provided in person, online (for students living away from Palermo or attending off-campus centres), or in a blended format, depending on each student’s circumstances and preferences.

Following the initial welcome phase, SIASP may offer:

  • Short-term interventions: up to 10 sessions;
  • Medium-term interventions: between 12 and 24 sessions;

Integrated interventions, which may include psychiatric consultation through the AMU – “P. Giaccone” University Hospital of Palermo.

⚠️ Please note: SIASP does not provide emergency psychiatric care. In such situations, students are encouraged to contact the nearest Emergency Department or appropriate emergency health services without delay.
