What is SIASP
The SIASP (Integrated Psychological Support Service) is the University of Palermo’s official service dedicated to supporting the psychological wellbeing of its student community.
Established under Article 44 of the University Statute, SIASP coordinates and integrates the existing counselling and psychological support services within a single structure, in order to provide effective, integrated, and specialized responses.
The main objectives of SIASP are to promote the mental health and psychological wellbeing of UniPa students; assess and guide requests for psychological support; provide personalized psychological interventions; monitor activities and evaluate their impact; and collaborate with internal university structures to foster inclusivity.
SIASP also promotes scientific and cultural initiatives and develops research projects aimed at advancing knowledge and improving the effectiveness of interventions that meet the psychological needs of UniPa students.
The service is open to all students enrolled in the three academic cycles of the University of Palermo (bachelor’s, master’s, and single-cycle degree programmes, as well as PhD candidates and medical residents) who may be experiencing difficulties with studying, anxiety, relational problems, depression, social isolation, or other psychological concerns.
