La selezione iniziale dei candidati al percorso formativo abilitante per l’insegnamento nella scuola secondaria

Abstract

The following article discusses the importance of initial selection for access to the new qualifying pathway for secondary school teachers in Italy. The author proposes an articulated process, including a cultural-disciplinary pre-selection whit a national multiple choice test and a subsequent selection to assess professional skills (pedagogical, teaching, psychological and anthropological) of candidates. To respond to requests for exemption from certain training activities, un assessment of the professional skills already possessed is recommended, through the written test and oral test foreseen in the selection of all candidates, plus any discussion of a portfolio presented by the candidates. It is recommended that the evaluation criteria of the two selective tests be established a national level at applied a local level. It is hoped that the study plan of the training course is identical for all universities.
