The ANOCA/INOCA Dilemma Considering the 2024 ESC Guidelines on Chronic Coronary Syndromes

Abstract

Cardiovascular disease remains a significant cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide, and its manifestations continue to pose a challenge in clinical practice . Currently, great interest is focused on the phenomenon of angina and ischemia in patients without obstructive coronary disease. The very recent ESC 2024 guidelines on chronic coronary syndromes have given significant space to this topic, focusing on diagnosing and managing these diseases [4]. ANOCA is angina with non-obstructive coronary arteries, while INOCA is ischemia with non-obstructive coronary arteries .
