Abstract

In past few years, information technology (IT) has made rapid progress, and IT culture is spreading among healthcare professionals. The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) located at the USA National Library of Medicine has contributed in a remarkable way to spread the use of bibliographic search systems activating and regularly updating a friendly interface as PubMed. In particular, PubMed is a search engine that searches Medline and other databases for scientific literature citations.
