Metodologie multidisciplinari per lo studio delle pitture antiche: nuove ricerche sugli apparati pittorici di Solunto (PA)

Abstract

The Archaeological Park of Himera, Solunto, and Iato is the subject of a multidisciplinary study that integrates historical-archaeological and scientific research with the aim of understanding and enhancing Hellenistic-Roman domus through archaeology, diagnostics, and virtual restoration. The philological process commences with digital surveying of surfaces, documenting their state of preservation. Non-destructive diagnostic investigations provide essential data for a reconstructive hypothesis of the decorative apparatus, guiding the virtual restoration.
