Abstract
the essay focuses on the reception of Mazzini political theory in Sicily and in very prominent figures as Francesco Crispi. The author shows how republican political ideas was a strong link with Italian Risorgimento and brought to the revolutions of 1848 and finally at the liberation from Borboni’s regime in the 1860.
