Abstract
Arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungi are obligate symbionts of the majority of terrestrial plants. By enhancing nutrient and water uptake, AM symbiosis improves the host plant’s growth, nutrient status, and response to biotic and abiotic stress.
