The paper examines the civil liability of dermatologists, distinguishing between private practice and services provided within healthcare facilities. Particular attention is devoted to Law No. 24/2017, the burden of proof, informed consent, damage assessment and recourse actions. The study highlights the complexities of the dual liability regime and advocates a balanced approach that protects both patients and healthcare professionals
