Abstract
The problem of mixed states geometric phases in open quantum systems through the quantum jumps method was discussed. Thus, this method can be applied for any system evolving under a Markovian master equation or, equivalently, under any trace preserving completely positive map. Within this framework, it was shown that, it was possible to define and calculate a geometrical phase for an open system
