Editorial for the Issue 1/2024

Abstract

The first issue of Volume 26 of Economia agro-alimentare / Food Economy presents six contributions that collectively explore the evolving dynamics of the agri-food sector through diverse methodological and geographical perspectives. The papers address a range of topics, including the socio-cultural dimensions of agricultural production, investment strategies, the economic potential of geographical indications, social innovation, digital technologies for food security, and the professional landscape of organic farming. The issue reflects the journal’s commitment to promoting interdisciplinary research that bridges economic, social, and technological dimensions of food systems across Europe, South America, Africa, and Asia. This editorial also introduces new members of the Scientific Advisory Board (SAB), strengthening the journal’s international network, and announces the successful evaluation of Economia agro-alimentare / Food Economy for inclusion in the Web of Science Core Collection, marking a major milestone in its academic recognition and global visibility.
