She has applied the ethnographic method to the analysis of the symbolic processes of the Mafia. She has studied the identity forms of female-roles in mafia criminal organisations. She has deepened the connections between mafia and religion. She has studied the international network of mafia, and the leadership’s systems in Sicilian mafia, deepening the relationship between Cosa Nostra, the transnational economic crime, the business world and the political one.
