Abstract
“Sovereign” child, apathetic adolescents, kidult, young adult, “unresolved” adult, forms of “pseudo-integrity” of the elderly are some expressions that show phenomena that are radically changing, along with the identity of the family, times of growth of the different generations, and the sense of belonging to a historical community. Profound transformations involved in the transitions of the family life cycle are also visible in the disappearance of some phases of family growth in favor of others. Through a pedagogical reflection on these phenomena, this contribution aims to underline some aspects of the ways of understanding education and growth in the family of late modernity, for the purpose of rethinking, in a more conscious way, actions to promote educational programs, prevention of risk factors and parenting support.
