MARIA ANTONIA RANCADORE

Jean-Paul Sartre tra fenomenologia e psicologia

Abstract

Phenomenology and psychology are two fundamental disciplines of culture in the 20th century. The phenomenology of Husserl was assimilated by Sartre at the beginning of the century, until the publication of L’être et le néant (1943). In fact, studies of Sartre’s works demonstrate that his philosophy of existence is closely linked to transcendental phenomenology and psychology. Furthermore, the key words of “being” and “nothing” allow one to follow the evolution of Sartre’s thinking from the philosophy of existence to Marxism. In this sense, the historical materialism exhibited in the Critique de la raison dialectique (1960) can be understood as social psychology in the context of human history.
