Abstract
Many elements belonging to rich decorative apparatuses of "first" and "second" style come from the Late Hellenistic-Roman buildings of Lilybaeum. The former are mainly stucco corniches and plastic architectural mouldings of a very high quality. As for the "second style", two decorative systems from a house discovered in the modern town of Marsala are noteworthy: they show, respectively, a pseudo-architectural system depending on Campanian models, reproduced in a rather naive manner; and a motif of hanging festoons, which are strictly similar to the festoons painted on funerary stele from Lilybaeum itself.
