Abstract
The necropolis of Lilybaeum yielded several painted artifacts of Late Hellenistic-Late Republican period. Stelai and pillars, on one hand, and distyle naiskoi, on the other, differ as for subjects, epigraphic formulae, and function: the former ones are semata of tombs, while the latter are more votive than properly funerary monuments, dedicated to heroized dead.
