The bibliographic heritage of the Department constitutes one of the two Sections of the conspicuous Library of Humanities, which is part of the wider Human Sciences Library Center (Polo di Scienze Umane).

Interdepartmental Library of Humanities - Section II collects a wide range of volumes concerning the Ancient World, Cultural Heritage, Historical Studies, Philological, Linguistic, Educational, Semiotic and Communication Disciplines, Cultural Studies, Human, Social and Political Sciences.

Library structure is allocate in the 5 departmental buildings. Books are available off the shelf, by request or by reservation.

Library services to student and academic community are provided by SBA - Sistema Bibliotecario di Ateneo, the University Library and Historical Archive System, which manages all the resources, tools and services offered by the Libraries of the University of Palermo.
